Privacy policy

Effective September 26, 2026. This policy describes the personal-use OAuth client named Personal Drive Backup rclone.

Google Drive data

The client uses the Google Drive drive.file permission to create a backup folder in the owner's Drive and to read, update, or delete files it creates there. It does not request access to unrelated Drive files. The selected local files are transferred directly by rclone from the owner's Mac to the owner's Google Drive account.

Credentials and sharing

The OAuth token is stored in rclone's configuration on the owner's Mac. This informational website does not receive or store that token or the backed-up files. Backup files are stored in the owner's Google Drive and are not shared with other people by this integration.

Retention and control

Files remain in Google Drive until the owner removes them or the configured mirror removes them after a local deletion. The owner can revoke this client's Google access from their Google Account connections page and can delete the Drive backup folder.

This website

This website does not ask visitors for personal information. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may process routine web request data according to its own privacy practices.
